Dave Whittle came on loan from Leigh in April 2002. He made his only start for the first team in the huge away league loss Bradford Bulls by 54 points to 22 on the 20th April 2002. He played prop forward in a number 10 jersey in this match. Dave also came on as substitute in wins over Halifax and Warrington the following month before returning to Leigh Centurions.
