 HERITAGE NO : 40 William Bold played his only match for the Saints in the 14 points to 7 league home victory over Liversedge. This was towards the end of the first season of the Northern Union. Bold played in the forwards in the number 11 jersey. We have him as a pawnbroker living at 45 North Road St Helens in the 1901 and 1911 Census returns. By 1939 William had moved little being resident at 75 North Road, St Helens. he died in St Helens in 1962 at the age of 88.
