 HERITAGE NO : 188 James Fairclough played his only game for the first team in the record league away defeat to Warrington by 78 points to 6 in the last match of the 1908 to 1909 season. He played at scrum half in this match. He was a drawer in a coal mine and was living in Morley Street, St Helens in 1939. He died in St Helens June 1956 at the age of 70.
