HERITAGE NO : 239
Peter Gallagher was a forward signed from Abram Colliery and played two matches for the Saints at the start of World War One. Remarkably, the Saints won both matches against Oldham and Runcorn with the same scoreline, 10 points to four. The Heavy Work Labourer lived in the same area of Wigan throughout his life. In 1939 he was resident at 10 Lea Street, Wigan. He died in his hometown in March 1947 at the age of 61.
