Biography of Bill Sheffield



HERITAGE NO : 865
Bill was a hard running second row forward who played ten matches for the Saints first team between September 1969 and December 1970. He scored two tries, one against Castleford in the 1970 Charity Shield match and another in the home match against Hull KR. Bill also played for the Saints in the away leg of the European Championship Final against St Gaudens. He also collected a losers medal in the 1970 Floodlit Trophy Final against Leeds. Bill worked in the Motor Parts sector.
