Biography of Frank Walker



HERITAGE NO : 513
Frank Walker played two first team games for the club during World War Two. His debut was against York in September 1941 when the Saints prevailed by 28 points to 18. His last match was against Wigan in January 1942 when the Saints went down by 18 points to nil. Both matches were played at Knowsley Road. On both occasions Walker occupied the left wing berth. In 1939 he was living in Hind Hill Street, Haywood and working as a Doubling Room Hand in a Mill. Frank certainly moved around the country and he died in East Staffordshire in September 2006, aged 88. If anyone has any further information about this player, please do not hesitate to contact us
