 HERITAGE NO : 585 Raymond, or Ronald Sutcliffe played half back for the Saints between November 1943 and January 1944. He was a former Huddersfield player and had also played with Leeds. The matches were all lost by the Saints with some quite hefty defeats amongst them. Ronald had been on the books of Huddersfield in the 1936 to 1937 season but was struck off in January 1937. The RFL register had him living at 79 College Street, Huddersfield. Ronald passed away in Huddersfield in December 2004, aged 86.
