 HERITAGE NO : 726 Billy was a scrum half who played at Knowsley Road in the 1950s. His only official first team match was against Blackpool Borough on 29th of January 1955 when the Saints prevailed by 13 points to 2. Billy partnered Peter Metcalfe in the half backs that day.He also featured in a first team friendly against Leigh in the same season. Billy was a regular in the very successful Saints A team at that time. He was in the side that lifted the Rugby League Combination shield in the 1952-53 season.
