 HERITAGE NO : 32 William was one of the first Welsh recruits. This player made three appearances in the backs for the Saints and one in the forwards. He played from March 1896 to January 1898 so we must assume that he turned out regularly for the A team in those early days of the Northern Union. He was a copper works operative and lived in New Cross Street, St Helens in 1901. In 1939 William had returned to Wales and was resident at Brynlyfydd Avenue, Rhyl.
