Lance Davies played his only match for the first team in the 28 points to 3 home league over Keighley. He had the pleasure of playing centre to the great Tom Van Vollenhoven. Voll scored two tries that day but was outshone by Peter Harvey who managed to net four tries in the match. Lance died in Cardiff in August 2004 at the age of 68.
