 HERITAGE NO : 582 William played four matches for the Saints in October and November 1943. The Lancashire lad played stand off in three of these matches and centre in the other. Billy was a Builder`s Labourer and lived in Clay Lane, Warrington in 1939. He died in Wigan on 1st January 2012 at the age of 95, making him one of the oldest Saints' players in terms of lifespan. |
