 HERITAGE NO : 625 Glyn played his only game for the first team in the War Emergency League which resulted in an away defeat to Halifax by 29 points to 3 in February 1945. He played on the left wing outside centre Jack Waring in this match. Elias was loaned from Halifax. Glyn was signed by Halifax from Llanelli RU Club in 1938. Elias had played for the Scarlets from 1935 up to that point. In 1939 Glen was working as a Builder�s Storekeeper and living in Abbey Walk, Halifax. He died in Llanelli in December 1981, aged 67. Thanks to his grandson, Kevin Jefferson,for supplying the SHS with a superb photograph and playing details. |
