HERITAGE NO : 125 Joseph Green donned the number nine jersey in his only appearance for the Saints first team. The game was an away league match at Morecambe in which the Saints drew with Morecambe 2 points all. Joseph later moved to Wigan in an exchange deal which saw George Ellison crossing Billinge Lump. He worked as a railway porter and in the 1939 Census he can be found living in Dodd Avenue, St Helens. His death is registered in Prescot in December 1942 at the age of 60.
