 HERITAGE NO : 1097 Bryan Henare by Alex Service Bryan Henare came to prominence with the Auckland Warriors club in New Zealand, where he was a second-rower who could also play number 9. His team-mates at Auckland included the likes of Sean Hoppe, Kevin Iro and Julian O'Neill. Bryan was also a Junior Kiwi, who toured Britain in 1993, including such luminaries as Henry Paul. He also represented a New Zealand President's XIII in 1996. A knee reconstruction hindered his progress somewhat during 1998 and he signed for Saints on a two-year deal for the 2000 and 2001 campaigns. Bryan made 15 appearances from the bench and also started 5 matches with the Saints, scoring a try. He eventually joined Oldham on loan. | ||||
