 HERITAGE NO : 449 James Kelly played 29 matches for the Saints between September 1936 and September 1938. He was a talented scrum half from Wigan who scored seven tries for the club. Kelly scored a brace of these in a telling contribution against Featherstone Rovers in January 1937. He worked in an Iron Foundry as a Blast Worker. In 1939 he was living in Leeds Street, Aspull, Wigan. He died in Wigan in June 1984, aged 71. Dave Dooley | ||||
