 HERITAGE NO : 579 Jimmy Kenny played his only game for the first team in the league home defeat to Barrow by 24 points to 5. He played on the left wing outside centre Peter Twist in this match. Jimmy was a lightning fast winger who later played for Widnes in the late 1940s. He played 24 matches and notched 7 tries for the Chemics. Jimmy was a local lad from the Thatto Heath area. In 1939 he was living in Cairne Street, St Helens and working as an Office Boy in the Cable Works. He died in St Helens in December 1993, aged 59. |
