 HERITAGE NO : 101 David was signed from the Birkenhead club and played two matches for the Saints in one week in September 1901. This forward was part of a losing side against Wigan on his debut but drew winning pay against Lancaster one week later. He emanated from the Birkenhead area and could well have played for his local town team at some point. In 1939 he was recorded as living in Gladstone Street, Birkenhead and working as an oil cake labourer. David died in Liverpool in September 1954 at the age of 76. Dave Dooley |
