 HERITAGE NO : 116 George Savage played his only game for the first team in the away league defeat by Hull KR by 10 points to 0 on the 6th December 1902. He played in the forwards wearing the number 15 jersey in this match. He was a labourer in Lead Works and Iron Works at various times in his life. He moved from the village of Stretton to the Town of Warrington at an early age. In 1939 he was living in Thelwall Lane, Warrington. George died in Warrington in March 1947 at the age of 72.
