Biography of John Simcock



HERITAGE NO : 73
John Simcock played his only game for the First Team in the away league defeat by Broughton Rangers by 20 points to 2 on the 17th of December 1898. He played centre to George Liversedge in this match. Simcock also played in a friendly for the Saints against Birkenhead earlier in the same month. John was a gas stoker who moved from Widnes to Warrington and was living in Heath Road, Penketh by 1911 where he was also registered in the 1939 Census. John died in Warrington in March 1941 aged 74.
