 HERITAGE NO : 1156 This strong and speedy centre made his debut for the first team as a substitute in the 52 points to 26 drubbing of Catalans Dragons on the 7th of July, 2006, at the tender age of 17. Ste established himself the following year as a something of a points machine with some great finishing and deadly goalkicking. The 2007 extended run in the first team saw Ste making 14 appearances. These matches yielded no less than seven tries and 47 goals for the youngster. This haul included 5 goals and a try in the 34 points to 22 home victory over Bradford Bulls on March 2nd. In the fourth round of the Challenge Cup against Batley Bulldogs, Ste kicked an impressive 11 goals. He netted the same number of points when scoring two great tries and kicking seven goals in the 54 points to 4 league thrashing of Huddersfield Giants in June of the same season. In the 2008 season Ste played in a further 7 matches and in the process scoring 5 tries and kicking seven goals. In the summer the club opted to loan Ste to Widnes to gain further first team experience and later at Salford City Redsin 2010. From there Ste joined Celtic Crusaders as they entered the Super League. Dave Dooley Update by SHS Steve joined Widnes Vikings for a third time in 2011, making 24 appearances. He then joined Halifax and has since become one of their most outstanding players and one of the leading lights in the Championship. Steve played against his former club in the 2019 Challenge Cup semi-final at Bolton. | ||||
